Your mother may come across as strong-willed, or perhaps appear fragile, and at times even seem unreasonable. But it's perfectly normal if you don't fully understand her, even after all this time. Consider that she has spent most of her life within her own social circle, with little opportunity to witness the world you've experienced or share in your unique life journey. You may dislike your mother's seemingly pragmatic shrewdness, but you may not know that she too once had dreams and aspirations for the future, just like you. Therefore, try to be more patient with your mother, strive to become a better version of yourself, and then take her along to experience a wider world. Don't simply criticize her ignorance or narrow-mindedness just because her perspective is limited.
Similarly, your father may not be very good at expressing himself, or he may not talk much, and sometimes he even seems a bit cold. But please understand that every day when he opens his eyes, he is faced with a group of people who depend on him, and he rarely has a shoulder to lean on. Although in your eyes, he used to be the great superhero who could solve any problem, but over time, his "superpowers" are gradually fading away. You will eventually understand that even Superman is ultimately an ordinary human being. He also has trivialities, guilt, and regrets that he cannot face. He persists because he must stand firm in the role of a father.
We stand on the shoulders of our parents and have seen the world that they never had the chance to see. The reason they never experienced this world is because they invested their time and money into us, so we can have a wider perspective. We should not blame them for their ignorance of the world, for it is their sacrifice that has given us a broader view.
